SIBU: A woman suffered from hip fracture after she jumped from the second floor of a hotel at Wong Nai Siong Road early Saturday.
The 28-year-old from Miri was said to have dashed into the hotel and went up to an upper floor before leaping off from the building.
The policemen in the station a stone’s throw away rushed over and sent her to the hospital for admission.
Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit confirmed the case, saying a man had rushed over to inform them of the incident at 2.05qm.
The woman who was not a hotel guest, tested positive for methamphetamine commonly known as ‘ice’.
The police have not confirmed whether she was suffering from the effects of the drug when she committed the act.
