Brother! Its new car so no m-oil drip on the floor…further more all parts are fully new…not even a single drop of oil in the engine…
By the way, If i can maintain this type of cleanliness in my workshop, sure lots of ppls will come in to do servicing…but charges will be more lo…
That’s only for hand-built vehicles. Ferrari, VW Phaeton, etc. all have ‘clean’ factories. All have pictures circulating around emails.
Ian and Jerry… yup… i agree with both of u…
hand made. No wonder Mercedes very expensive. Apa org cakap “Rumah bergerak”
The lower end Merc (A class, C class etc) are manufactured in automated “messy” factories .
and let’s not forget the 200% tax that made those cars even more expensive
that’s my dream car. Mclaren SLR in black.
Proton should see this pircture.
That is not a mercedes factory.
That is Mclaren techology and production centre.
All mercedes cars are still produce in Mercedes automated line. Even the AMG ones.
Only the Enjines are later fitted at the AMG centres.
The above production line is strictly for SLR Mclaren, DTM Racing cars and Formula one only.

yes, exactly ! 8)
Mercedes apprenticeships are Very highly regarded,
with a qualified technican being ‘worth his weight in gold’.
Mercedes garages in Europe can easily charge 500+ ringit per hour,
just for the labour costs alone, of their technicans,
and you would still have to book in advance to get your car serviced.
buying a 600,000 ringit Merc, & i don’t think owners would like to see darkly lit, untidy garage operators servicing their expensive ‘pride&joy’?!
pics are a wee bit over-the-top!, but it is the way, a lot of modern high-end manufacturers garages (merc/VW/etc) do operate.
charges can surely b incorporated?
Yeah, a friend of mine had his S-class shocks changed and serviced for RM8,000  .
an SLR…my darling darling dream car…i love it so much…SLR…
Mercedes technicans are famously renowned for being very capable, talented, proficient workers.
Mercedes accountants are infamously renowned for being… creative!
picked up a 2nd hand baby Merc (A class) last year & was shocked to read in amongst the servicing/maintenance records,
a bill for 40 pounds (300 ringit) for inflating (pumping-up!) one under-pressure tyre!!
Very Creative!! :o
dougie what i know is the wind tunnel for F1 mclaren cars of hamilton and kovalainen
send you SLR to normal workshop to fix…cheaper…few hundred nia…hahaha…
i think is very apt…
recent Auto-car magazine articles all state that Mercedes went thru a bad patch, due to their accountants, at HQ, dictating the various design criteria,
the end result being the classic 1st generation A class, subsequently found to be unable to stay up-right, under vigorous steering tests,
& also in the poor ‘plastic’ quality finishes, of All the models.
now the design criteria has been handed back to the engineers (“the lathe turners” said Auto-Car UK) & via the wind-tunnel & other vigorous criteria,
results across the model range, are now like the 2nd generation A class, v.nice!
& which are now turning the fortunes of the company around.
Expensive?.. er… maybe! (1 year old, 2nd hand, not!!) but they all now, again, do shout… “Quality!”
