Grats! It’s been more 20 years since I’ve been to UK. Seem to remember London School of Economics being very well known for Business studies. The downside is that it doesn’t have much of a campus - being spread over city of London.
Bath University comes to mind next.
Loughborough has a huge campus.
Then of course there’s the much coveted Kings College - probably has a tough entrance vetting system to go through.
Check out this site for more comparisons. I see some have reviews attached.

Good Luck and most of all enjoy your undergrads years - personally it was some of the best years of my life! Pint of Boddingtons anyone? 8)

Quick word of advise about accommodation choices. If you are not staying in student residences situated within campus, be aware that some cities may be notorious for break-ins - foreign students tends to be targeted more. That’s why I always prefer staying in university campus residences. It’s not a huge problem but it can be if you choose a cheap run down area - inner city council estates, ghettos etc. big cities like London, Birmingham, Manchester are notorious.
Not trying to sound too dramatic, but I stayed 10 years in Manchester and have lived in some of the worst run-down and roughest neighborhood you can imagine - like most students did so as to save on rent.
My suggestion would be to stay at the university’s student residence in the first year. After you get accustomed to your environment, then only then consider moving out to stay outside of campus. Unless you can find fellow Msian or Spore to share apartment, that might work out quite good for your first year or so. Still I would suggest to at least spend 1 or 2 years staying at uni residences to get a real experience of campus life!
Hi - as mentioned above stay in campus for the first year.
Lots of good Uni’s in UK, do be aware though that if you choose a place like London then living costs will be much higher - may be better to look North, best to go for an established university if you can, there has been a huge increase in “new” universities and it is sometimes hard to tell them apart - options would be Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield, Newcastle or Loughborough. be aware Loughborough is more a town than a city so quite quiet - it is most famous for sport so unless you are really into that it may not be best. Outside option could be somewhere like Hull, well established and very cheap for living costs and Wales also has some decent Uni’s and I have heard good things about places like Cardiff.
I am from UK although I left Uni a long time ago so am not totally up to date with the best Uni’s anymore but lived all over the place so if you want to ask any questions about a certain place just PM me.
i was thinking to take up law as my future career. So, now im wondering if u guys can help me in suggesting what criteria to focus on before choosing the suitable law university/college ?
My brother studied law… well, he is working and earned a lot now. so, i would say it is good course but is not easy. cuz u need to memorize a lot of law theory. anyway just be caution of the degree that are given…make sure got recognition from government and Qualified Board of Malaysia. on top of that, check out the fee whether is reasonable.location wise better to find nearer to the place you stay. hope it helps.
what is your recommendation for uni/ college for UK Degree Programme for Law, preferably 2 + 1 ? if i were to apply scholarship or education loan, what is the eligibility to fulfill ? is the procedure difficult ?
if im not mistaken, the UK Degree Programme for Law in INTI is very famous. Because the programme has the recognition from UK Bar Standards Board and Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia with prestigious partner University in UK. may be u shud have a look here.
I never tot of INTI U. got law subject… is that approved by the bar? qualify to become lawyer?
erm if u take INTI, i guess u wont need to worry about loan or scholarship. cuz they provided it as long as your result is not that really bad. got fee waiver and also PTPTN.
If you want to take law, I think it is better to get your first degree in Malaysia and then your second degree in UK. I assume you’d like to work in Malaysia.
For business subject, LSE in London and Manchester University have really good reputation. Choose your university wisely, that will decide your working life after your graduation. Do your research and spend your parents’ money wisely too, consider yourself very lucky and make sure that the degree that you have will help you through your career. After you submit your application to several universities, search for Malaysian alumni from those universities. Emailing or calling them will be very useful to find what to expect, I am sure there will be student association for Malaysian in UK.
