:smiley: thx 4 de info.guyz…its time 2 scout 4 upgrade :mrgreen:

NVIDIA PWNED FOR GAMERS!

i learnt from some gaming shows in America, most said for AGP cards, ATi is a better choice, and for PCI-E slots, get an Nvidia better

I am okie with Ati, currently using a Radeon 3870 512mb OC edition on a AmD Phenom Quad Core. So far it had been good with games but looking forward for another card to utilize the crossfire.

:roll: allokitty,any reckon whr 2 survey the upgrade?

juz go for ati 4870 cost about rm930 its agood price for a good performer…
i m right now gonna convert my pc to ati amd base pc… 8)
gtx280 = rm2000
gtx260 = rm1300
2 x gtx280 = rm4000
gtx260 = rm2600

4870 = rm930
4850 = rm700
2 x 4870 =rm1860
2 x 4850 =rm1400

2 x 4870 can out perform gtx280 for the price of 1 gtx280 nvidia sux…
ur are buying the nvidia name but not the performance…

SAMA AJE,

some generation wins, some generation lose, certain generation pick back up.

for now, still Nvidia had the lead (that’s IF u have the cash to burn)
but lately, ATI is up to something with many project with AMD to create Ultimate all in one ‘system/platform’
just pray ATI comes up with something new, and Nvidia will try to break it again.

i argree with jianh at some point,
it is due, during the era of ATI 9xxx series (AGP era) they out beat Nvidia.
but the pass year(pci-e), Nvidia 8800 series has out perform ATI X,X1, by a huge margin.
but this competitive competition, i believe ATI will come out with some idea, since the X2 card(dual card) was a great idea but nvidia just did the same thing and outshit them again…

thanks man! appreciate that

ya during the AGP generation, those Radeon 9600 and 9800 really pwned the NVIDIA, even the X800XT pwned as well

But now, NVIDIA gets back with their 8800 series

u oredy say 2x 4870 oredy… u cant compare 2 card with 1 GTX280 right… GTX280 is expensive for it purposes… try 1 on 1 compare… and crossfire with sli… this is the way to compare it. 2 card definitely wins over 1 card la… and GTX280 aint expensive as u think… its same than 4870x2 oredy…

why aint expensive… coz i can bring in cheaper… ahahah… if interested i can bring in BFG, XFX and eVGA GTX280 cheaper than 2k… unless u wan special BFG OCX or XFX OC edition or eVGA Superclocked XXX…

GTX280 is the most powerful card, but its pricey XD

Unfortunately, not money-wise.

Hence I will go for 4870X2 in this case.

But I’m using nForce board…so…

GTX is not the most powerful card. GTX280 is the most powerful card for single graphics chip.

The most powerful card now is 4870X2 hands down. Its dual chip on a single card so its still considered as 1 card.

Unlike cards like 9800GX2 which is two underclocked 9800 GTX running in parallel.

You cannot compared two cards sandwiched together with two chips on a single card. 2 chips on one PCB is still one pcb.

If you want to compared GTX280 in SLI, you’ll have to compare with 2 x 4870X2 though it is obviously unfair. But why still compared, as both running dual cars are in the same price range.

If you compare GTX280 in SLI against 1 x 4870X2 though sounds fairer in terminology and designs, its not. Ones RM3600 and the other is RM1800 how can that be fair?

Afterall its the prices of items that dictates the decision to make a purchase or not.

cool,this reason good enough for me already,thanks

YA, NVIDEA pwned for GAMES!!! Derimasu

ATI aint tat bad in pawning Nvidia too… ATI is a FPS killer… aih…~ wanna try ATI cards now…~

plus again, nVidia already bought Ageia Company, and nvidia graphic card 8,9,GTX series already have built-in PhysX. in terms of rendering physx thing, nvidia is the best. ooo ya, how come here nobody knows about this physx technology…

senyap saja, ehehehehe

i know bout it… i even got sell BFG Ageia PhysX Card - Retail… haha… RM890…

that one is stand alone, dedicated PhysX Card… then need to add extra 800+ just for physx adesss, its better to buy nvidia, built in physX…

yea… its a stand alone Physx card… but by BFG… so the price will fly up high…~ ahha…
