I’ve been having a problem with my Proton Waja for years, and Everytime I bring it to fix, it breaks down the next month. Where’s the Best place to fix it?
Anything you do just be careful. Japanese or Malaysian cars, I have seen a few Miri car in flame recently. Quite new too.
I suspect the carbon in the controller switch is of cheap quality. It tends to clog up the contact after a few usage. I have tried to clean it. But after more than 10 clicks its back to square one. 8 years, my toyota (touch wood) has been working like it just came out of the agent.
Dont fix it, push it with your hand
Hahaha, My car has the anti-lock on the Window, so i can’t push it =.=’’’ It has at least 2cm of space left so i can hear every car that passes by me… >.<
Fix? There is NO fix for the Proton waja’s power window problem as it is a fault with the design. That’s why Proton’s MD dare to say new Protons have lifetime warranty for power windows…beacuse the Waja has been discontinued!!!
agree. Waja power window is crappy. Proton MD is talking ■■■■ on lifetime warranty. Might as well change it to manual window.
proton’s power windows are design faulty. they do not even R&D on that mechanism until now. they just simply design without testing the life cycle. that’s the fact that u should know b4 buying proton.
btw u can change the rubber seal and motor periodically for better performance. do apply grease on all gears every 6months, depending on your usage.
How they fix it? just service it? put some lub? Just change the whole set. with the motor inside
Taiwan made , they produce Metal set compare with proton using plastic which is easily deform due to heat and etc.
Make sure u get it the METAL set power window. You can’t fix it, you bought the whole set.

google it and u only see ur not alone. too bad, this problem very hard to fix. try look for the mechanic shop around krokop 5 area near honda showroom, i forget which shop already, i got car problems tat almost all shop in town cannot be fix can be fixed there…
can i propose another option to ‘fix’? sell that crap waja and buy new proton which has lifetime warranty on power window

all 4 windows cannot go down one. hahaha…
sold it off and bought myself a ford fiesta. biar ada gerenti sikit… :mrgreen:

all 4 doors won go down should be electrical problem already.
