What's on the plate?

Just a general question…

If a total stranger spoon feed you with something that you really like, would you take it or leave it? Please bear in mind that the “thing” on the plate is the thing that you REALLY like and you have been aiming for it for ages. Now it is given to you FREE! No commitment, no responsibility, and FREE.

Think about it peeps.

(NOTE: Bear in mind that “things” on the plate are meant to be ambiguous. Use your own imagination and tell me what would you do? and why?

I think no harm to take it if I really like and aiming for ages oledi… but make sure the spoon is clean.

Would the consequence of having it cross your mind before consuming it?

Consequences of having it?? Not unless I am a very very sensitive individual.

So I guess there might be something that you have in mind… and do you mind to speak up…

 nothing! It was a general question. I just thought wouldn’t people have some precaution before taking things? Like think of the risks and all that? That is all…no hidden meaning

if food i will take… hahah

u r right… second tot… I shud think about it… cause it’s a total stranger. So I guess I have to use more of my brain to think before act la…

hahaha…

aiyo, very hard to decide ley… still thinking

yeah, it might be poison… Need to be alert!

to me…everything about stranger is NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

erm, i may be naive la. but i don think the stranger would want to hurt me. not everyone is a bad guy mah. perhaps s/he just being extra generous… well, if simple things like food/complimentary gift i may take, but if expensive things; wont take! wakaka, stef. u dint give me choices for that oh >.<

You, will be the one who decide the value of the “thing” on the plate. It is an open question. plenty of room for imagination…

I would think twice loh. There is no free lunch! But then again, like you said he the stranger is doing it our of good will, and we manipulated his kindness, it is equally bad hor?

Opps! Clicked twice and repeated message on here. Sowwy!

Now now little red, here are some goodies for your grandma… and remember, don’t talk to stranger…

i will have to say …depend on the situation… a total stranger will not give away something which wont benefit himself in return… we will need to be extra mroe cautious and be smart. Try to get what’s in the plate without causing yourself harm. Abandon what’s in the plate anytime you find suspicious…" the thing " is not yours in the first place anyway

Agree…

But the temptation may overwrite the “cautious” in you? I am not trying to contradict myself here. I said I will be weary, if it was me. However, not everyone think the same. If you decided to take the free “lunch” you will be expected to bear the consequence?

I think it’s very clear that stef mentioned about STRANGER or known as someone that we dont even know at all. Therefore, if stanger is offering something that we really like, isn’t it something really weird.
My question, how does this stranger know what stuff do we like isn’t it? It must be reason behind when he or she is offering something or maybe something that is in return that he or she will demand for.

In this instance, it is clear that i have mentioned “stranger”. To most people stranger means someone unfamiliar or in our head we think they are unfriendly and all of the negative thoughts you could think of. However, think of the wolf story. If the stranger appeared to be a lovely good looking person, put up the gorgeous and charming smile you have ever seen and offering you the free “plate”? Would you still be alert?

true enough, i will have to agree with u…

Cannot answer on behalf of others on this situation…
