MIRI: Malaysian Red Crescent Miri District’s Blood Donor Recruitment Committee will collaborate with Moving Communities Team and Persatuan Petroleum Wanita Miri (PWPM) to hold a United Nations Day Blood Donation tomorrow at Boulevard Shopping Mall in Pujut.
According to MRC Miri District publicity officer, Cr Karambir Singh, in a press statement received here yesterday, the event targets 60 pints of blood to be collected that day.
“This is the second blood donation drive to commemorate the UN Day, which falls on Oct 24 every year.”
Karambir also called on existing and new donors to come forward to help replenish the blood stock at Miri Blood Bank as about 8,000 pints are needed every year by Miri Hospital.
