Two men survive burning cars in fiery crash

MIRI: Two men were fortunate to survive a fiery crash involving two vehicles at Tudan traffic
light intersection early yesterday.

According to sources, the vehicles driven by the victims were heading towards city centre from Kuala Baram before one of the cars went out of control and crashed into the rear of the vehicle in front.

Both vehicles burst into flames and the drivers in both vehicles scrambled out seconds before the cars exploded.

One fire engine led by senior fire officer II, Henry Jugah, and three firemen rushed to the scene after receiving a distressed call around 1.18am.

It took firemen about five minutes to douse the fire.

The cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
