MIRI: Three men were arrested on Monday in connection with the robbery of a man at Pelita Commercial Centre a day earlier.
The trio, locals in their 20s, was picked up by a police team around 6pm in the city and placed in the lockup pending further investigation.
The incident is said to have taken place in the wee hours of Sunday when the suspects allegedly confronted the victim at an entertainment outlet.
A brawl is then said to have broken out before the men stole the victim’s valuables and fled the scene.
District police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah confirmed the arrests when contacted yesterday, saying the trio is being held to facilitate police investigation under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
