It started everyday from 4.00 om onwards n takes 30 min. just to pass through the roundabout.
Causes: some un-considerate drivers park their cars at the road side n block half of the already narrowed road - going to pasar ramadan.
Just wounder why police does not take any action.

What do you expect? police clear the road for you like VIP?
Furthermore, it’s puasa time.
Sabarlah brother… i think it is mainly because of Puasa period… what you should do next time is, find a parking slot ( if any ) and join them… instead of getting frustrated over the jammed.
i think that is partly to be blame…another reason is because the ppl are taking off the supporting for the so call “completed” flyover and diverting the “WHOLE” traffic into “ONE” temporary road…
so for those who had read the news a month ago about the so call “fast” completion of the new miri flyover ; how our cm had lost the bet to mr. ting; not to forget the “glorious” opening of miri’s flyover" and lastly for those who are not in miri…YES!!, the flyover is not open for public yet and YES!!, it is not complete yet…
Yeah I agree with Queblur. That was a really lame attempt at smokescreening the delay of the stupid flyover. Now the traffic on Puchong side is just as bad.
Check out the flyover collapse in Seremban too. What a confidence booster!
i think the one at the puchong side is a nightmare la… St joe primary school and chung hua miri… parents just park their car on the road side… from 2 lanes to single lane…
Do you guys agree??
Yes, totally agree. Schooldays at the wrong times and you’re sitting duck for ages. Who says Miri doesn’t have traffic as bad as in big cities?
The Puchong construction was made worse with the fact that some people even though there was still a lane of road for them to pass exhibit some sort of driving phobia and begin to slow down to a crawl even though there is ample space to go and no cars in front of him / her. This creates a huge jam behind that phobic driver that goes back to as far as Bumiko during rush hours and mornings. It’s frustrating.

not just there lah bro…elsewher in sarawak or west malaysia…they have the same attitude…malaysian attitude,… when parking and dont give a damn to others road user…

Right lo. Now become 1 lane…and if the parents still just park on that lane…SIAP. No need to go pass thru until they have picked up their kids and moved their car. Everywhere is the same, actually. Chung Hua Middle School also same problem. (Sorry out of topic)
??? totally out of topic ler??? boulevard roundabout is all the while trafficjam as usual mirian not give way to each other lar!!! u also can find the traffic jam at brunei’s roundabout but they give way although is jam but is moving!!! miri’s traffic jam is slow moving like turtle!!! all the driver drive slow at fast lane!!! KANASAI!!!i hate the road user from miri!!! not enough fast then modify ur car till fast fast n drive at fast lane!!! if not just drive slow lane ok!!! KNS
cool down man…just like me always be coolman. kekekeee…
trafic jam wont be happen after the Miri Bridge is done. i think will be soon we can fly our car by Drifting. heheheeee…
Its possible some in Miri are not used to these kind of traffic jams. They still feel the traffic in Miri 10 years ago.
Prepare for the future…More cars, more flyovers, more traffic jam…and JPJ may include “Traffic Jam Driving” test when you renew your licenece…
My experience on 28/9/07,Friday,5.40pm.
I manage to avoid the traffic jam at Boulevard rounabout as I was driving from Pujut towards town. But I could see heavy traffic jam towards Piasau side.I thought I was lucky but the worst was waiting near Puchong roundabout.!!
It took me 30 mts from Bintang plaza to Puchong roundabout. :? I was patiently following the same lane…
Few things which irked me was…
1.We had to give way for a police car 2 times in this traffic…we had squeeze to our sides.Once I saw two cars following the back of police car,I couldn’t see anyone very sick inside these cars…smart guys…!!.I hoped the police were rushing to arrest the robbers…!!
2.The criss cross traffic near the old Bomba traffic lights was haywire…I hoped there could have been some traffic policemen to regulate the traffic there.
3.Main cause for this traffic was not schools but the contractors temporarily blocked one lane at Puchong roundabout…which causes the bottle neck…I felt it was wrong timing to block the lane…No traffic policemen was seen.
4.Mother nature …strong winds and rain made it more worst.
I hope ,Global Upline will do their best to reduce inconvenience to Public while constructing the Puchong flyover. They did a good job in Boulevard roundabout.
For me, I’ll try to avoid these roads during 5 to 6pm.
