I didn’t receive my assessment bill for this year 2016. On coming home from a trip overseas two days ago I was informed by my neighbours that many of the residents in my area didn’t receive theirs and they advised me to approach the Council lest there would be penalty imposed on late payment. In order to avoid further delay and surcharge, I went yesterday evening 6.00 pm to UTC to clear the bill.
Whilst my turn to pay my bill a lady staff commented on the last minute rush for the payment. I told her that it’s never my habit to delay paying any of my household bills and this particular assessment bill which should have arrived as early as January was never received. I also brought to her attention that many of my neighbours didn’t receive their bills too.
The lady apparently a senior staff in the council said that she would reveal the matter to the unit/section concerned, though she said she was not attached to the that unit.
