There is this misconception that China owns most of America’s debt. The truth is that China is only the largest foreign creditor of the US. The US, currently the world’s largest economy, has racked up $14 trillion in debts, but who exactly are these debts owed to? Why is it till now the US government still seems not so worried about its astronomical debts?

Total Holdings of US Treasuries: $121.9 billion
Percent of US Debt that they own: 0.9%

Total Holdings of US Treasuries: $148.3 billion
Percent of US Debt that they own: 1%

Note: These include The Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Netherlands Antilles and Panama, and British Virgin Islands, which all function as offshore financial centers. Of course, they invest in Treasury Securities as well.

its the benefit they entitled to get from the government depending on their income and background.
it includes weekly or monthly payments for pension, payment for disability, payment for healthcare i.e. medicare, unemployment benefit, youth allowance, rental assistance, low income assistance etc…
