So now elected reps are the “towkay” and not servants appointed by the people to take care of the day to day affairs of the state. This is what happen when you let a single party stay in power for more than half a century. They have become the Towkay and we the KULI!

its time to wake them up from this misguided notion then…

how come those who walks the corridor of power in expensive 3 piece suit still doesn’t know the differences between being a political party and being the government of the day?

what do they have between those ears of theirs? buffalo brains?

the OKU who has his welfare assistance indiscriminately revoked has every right to sue as this is a clear cut case of abuse of ministerial power and discretion.

being the govt of the day means responsibility to all citizen regardless of political affiliations.

this point needs to be drummed into these ministers thick skulls repeatedly.

so, it is proved now that their intention of helping people kononnya tek, are just to get the votes.

did you ever doubt that its purpose foremost was to fish for votes in the first place?

ya, of course it’s obvious all these while but this time, it’s written.

its time to inform BBC and CNN.

instead of investigating the minister the police are now investigating & questioning the OKU.

Masing doesnt know whos the boss Chong

KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Chong Chieng Jen yesterday responded to Parti Rakyat Sarawak president Tan Sri Dr James Masings comment on an issue about the termination of government subsidies to a pro-opposition but physically-challenged farmer.

Chong said: Who is the towkay? Has Masing, after being a minister for too long, forgotten who the bosses are?

Voters are the bosses while ministers (state or federal) are just elected representatives to serve the people. They (ministers) are just public servants.

Every five years they (elected reps) will need to submit their respective report card and show them to the people what they have done in those five years. The people will then either choose to vote for them or somebody else, he told a press conference here yesterday.

Chong, also the state DAP secretary, said that Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders had admitted during each election that they were the peoples servants.

After the election they would call themselves the boss and the people (who voted for them) servants.

Masing was quoted on Monday as saying that the farmer in question should have followed the rule of life jangan lawan towkay and because of that the partys youth chief, Datuk Mong Dagang, wrote a letter to the government recommending that welfare assistance should not be given to the farmer.

The farmer, Frusis Ebi of Sri Aman, had claimed that he had been stripped of welfare assistance and government subsidies after Mong who is also Assistant Minister of Agriculture had written a letter to the Agriculture Department.

The welfare assistance was cancelled because he (Frusis) had been supporting the opposition.

Masing, meanwhile, said yesterday that he needed time to investigate the matter and would come up with another statement in few days time.

State PKR vice-chairman See Chee How also echoed the same views with Chong.

According the See in an emailed statement, Masings choice of words towkay reflects terribly on the BN leadership of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.

See, who is also Batu Lintang assemblyman, said that Masing, a senior minister, should not amplify the contemptuous act of Mong.

He should not challenge the most fundamental ideals of democracy that a government is of the people, by the people and for the people.

He said Masing should realise that the relationship between the government and the people is like the ship and the water.

Water can keep you afloat, it can also sink you, he said.

Best phrase from Bandar Kuching MP: Masing should realise that the relationship between the government and the people is like the ship and the water.

no need talk more…

just sink the bastard in coming GE

Even the BR1M has the same purpose of fishing votes. That is why it is done before the upcoming GE13.

I see the logic. The government of the day provides for the subsidies. Then the ungrateful recipient “stabbed” the provider in the back! What would you do? Put yourself as the leader in a household, e.g. a father. You provide for everything. Then you found out a member of the family is not in tandem with the rest of the family and can cause problems to your household. I’d have that family member banished, handicapped or not handicapped!
