An APM Miri member with the snake at the school.
MIRI: A 37-year-old teacher at Sri Mawar School near Piasau Jaya here was shocked to see a snake inside a rubbish bin at the school.
According to her, she did not suspect anything when she went out to throw rubbish around 9am on Wednesday.
“Then, I saw something moving – after a closer look, I realised that it was a snake,” she said.
Upon receiving a call from the teacher, personnel from the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) went to the school and caught the reptile, which measured about one and a half feet long.
The snake was then brought to the Miri Operations Control Centre. It is currently being kept in a cage pending further action.
