SUPP To Collect 4,000 Thumbprints For ThumbsUp4My Campaign

SARIKEI, Sept 5 (Bernama) – The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) is in the midst of collecting 4,000 thumbprints of all races in the state for the ThumbsUp4My campaign to enliven the Malaysia Day celebration on September 16.

SUPP State Youth secretary-general Teng Ung Woo said Sarawak was one of the states to participate in the programme aimed at creating a record in the Malaysia Books Of Record (MBOR).

He said over 3,000 thumbprints had been collected since the programme began in Kuching, Miri, Sibu and Sarikei early this month.

"We are confident the target of collecting 4,000 thumbprints can be achieved by tomorrow (in Sarikei) at the latest even though the deadline is on September 9.

“The thumbprints are printed with the colours of the Jalur Gemilang on a special canvas measuring 60 cm x 60 cm with the particulars of every thumb owners being recorded,” he told Bernama here today…
