Square holes

If you think it is NOT possible to “DRILL” square holes…
think again…

the human brain… simply amazing…
;p

Nice find!

Reminds me of the Rotary engine :stuck_out_tongue:

even after watching the slow-mo for a few times…
I still can;t figure out how the bit can drill square holes though…

Pretty easy when you think about it.

The drill bit actually moves as it rotates. Look at the video closely as the drill seem to wobble everywhere.

The diagram earlier showed where the drill bit would move after certain rotation.

The tricky part is to get the drill bit to rotate in sync with the motor/gear that controls the position of the drill bit.

Aha. Found the video.

Wow, surprisingly interesting video

the video that whatman posted reminded me of mazda rotary engine!!!

(drills square holes in Tonyops skull)

haha…

I think this drill bit cannot be used on a power hand drill then…
I don’t think the human hand can keep the drill steady enough to ensure a perfect square hole…
