MIRI: School problems should be solved through the correct channel and not through the social media.
Assistant Minister of Social Development Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who said this recently, urged members of school Parents-Teachers-Associations (PTAs) not to post any problem of their schools on the social media but to discuss the issues among members and with the school authorities.
Lee,who is also Senadin State Assemblyman, said this at SK Senadin PTA’s 11th annaul general meeting which was attended by over 400 parents and teachers at the school yesterday.
Lee, also the school PTA patron, urged parents to cooperate with the school authorities and PTAs when there were problems.
He also said he was concerned about the problem of infrastructure facilities in schools for the comfort of students and teachers.
He announced a grant of RM 10,000 for SK Senadin’s grand stand and said the contractor would also build the parking space as requested by SK Senadin PTA , and the work would start next week.
Henry Jugah, chairman of SK Senandin PTA, said he was grateful to Lee for his concerns about the school and always saw to the needs of the PTA.
He said Lee is a people-oriented leader and is always close to the people. He hoped Lee would win again in the coming state election.
