Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

The SME Channel Manager is to manage the overall operations of the SME Dealers and to drive gross and revenue from the dealers for the department and division. Need to provide sales and portal training to the dealers, create sales funnels and also “Go to Market” with the dealers for projects and larger business opportunities.

What are you accountable for?

  • To search and recruit productive new dealers in Miri & Bintulu.
  • To manage the individual Sales Target for assigned dealers.
  • Develop and manage assigned dealers’ sales business performance.
  • To motivate dealers’ sales staff to deliver sales target.
  • Re-energize dealer’s knowledge about maxis packages, selling skills and solution business with monthly training modules.
  • To continuously strengthen area through tactical activities such as roadshow, seminars to achieve maximum market share.
  • Collecting market intelligence on specific parameters, industry trend, competitive intelligence and emerging new technologies on regular basic to establish Market Resource Center (MRC).
  • Conduct numerous “Go-to-Market Big Accounts with 100 lines and above “approaches with dealers to set a bridge between potential customers and business partners.
  • To conduct sales planning discussion with Head of Sales monthly, and being answerable to any matter pertaining to Maxis SME Products in Sarawak.
  • Looking into overall dealer’s welfare and activities.

What do you need to have for this role?

  • Diploma/ Bachelor Degree Specialized in: Sales and channel management.
  • Ability to converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is preferred
  • Relevant Experience: 1 to 3 years in channel management.
  • Candidate need to have an acute sense of business savvy and able to grow and develop strong channels.
  • IT/Business solutions & system integration background will be added advantage.
  • Eligible to work in Miri, Sarawak.
