Cute little small blade from v929 quad

(allokitty) #13742

I think the blade is useless for me, dented and fragile plastic . Hey voon you want it? But the cat took and hide the other 3x pieces.

Voon, I got good news and bad news tomorrow.

-The bad news is no night fly tomorrow because i got this VIP function/celebration to attend. Its boring but i hope to get out of there asap. I bring my quad just incase i could fly inside the hall or the lobby.

-The good news: Free stuff… I got bunch of quad copter parts, blades and battery for you for your FPV project for free. Come pick it up if you’re free.

  1. Bunch of stock plastic blades
  2. 2x sticks of lipo
  3. 2x controller
  4. 3x box of boxes.

Come pick it up.

Hmmm…if i we’re you i’ll chose V922. But if indoor best is V911. But if you really wanted to learn how to fly in long term best is to fly a plane. But if you have limited space or budget get a “Phoenix R/C simulator V3” for rotor type flight experience is very close enough on PC. Price at RM120 only with transmitted and USB dongle. I still enjoy flying in PC too.

(allokitty) #13747

You better get that 929 stocked well because now people realised this stuff is good and proven smallest, indoor and outdoor capable FPV flight. You saw my flight right? Its stable in the wind and also very friendly little bug. As you can see even the dog also doesn’t mind about pint size quad flying over it. Lighter than a kite and also floaty like a leaf. You don’t have to worry about PID setting. It can fly as high as it can and as low as it could be. With prop and boom dismanteled it can fit in side a small pocket easily.

POCKET DRONE!!
After unplug the boom stick and bundled together now you get a pocket size drone that fits inside your pocket!. You can bring it anytime and anywhere.

Hi guys… Need all sifu(s) to guide me on this… haha… I m newbie in this hobby… Own a WL V912 4 ch heli. But now i got planning to try the WL v262 quadcopter. What u guys think about this quadcopter? Is it good for a beginner to fly? And if i wan to do a fpv flying on this quadcopter, is it possible? Can i modified this model to a fpv flying machine that can fly long range? I saw u all’s flying experience. Make my heart n hand gatal gatal wan to fly like that also… ahhhh… Then what gear should i get for a fpv flying? And the cost too… Thanks a lot…

this is what allokitty told me last time

Yes V929 is possible, what you see below and some of the quad snapshots/videos are from V929 in normal and HD mode. Did you saw my FPV video on V929 in previous page. Now mine already upgraded with HD video. You will need some extra soldering and electronic knowledge to make it possible and some lightweight mods to keep it flying.

For my V292 setup cost as shown below:

  1. WL-929 quad = RM150
  2. Turnigy 9X controller = RM350 + TX lipo/life =RM70
  3. FPV: 520TVL 1g nano cam with microphone with 90 degree lens = RM220
  4. FPV: Wireless video transmitter and receiver **mw = RM250
  5. FPV: CL antenna =RM50
  6. FPV cabling and power kit =RM70
  7. Lightweight 720p HD cam with 120 degree lens = R200
**+Need electronics and steady hand soldering skills.
    TOTAL COST: RM$1320/-
This setup and the quad FPV performance far surpass in performance, quality and durability compare to any commercial FPV quad available in the market. Yes, super durable FPV quad, crash and bash anywhere and it still fly like a boss. Home built DIY FPV quad at its best.

All you need to do is just hooked up to your TV screen and you’ll ready to fly remotely out of sight. Or make a home made video goggles like Ykvoon build.
Below are my latest setup on V929.

Yup that one is good for beginner and its very stable quadcopter and also got bumpers all around the body. Good quad. Yes you can modified as an FPV in the future too but however stock radio it can only fly between 200~500m only because the WL-Toys manufacturer stop building radio boards that support powerful pro radio. So FPV will be very limited on this one. Good long range FPV quad for WL-Toys will be V929(v2) and V939(v1) because they support Turnigy 9x long range radio. Make sure you have master the basic of flying from “Line Of Sight” view before attempt to FPV like doing basic “figure 8 flying circuit”. For long range FPV skill you need to train to fly a plane because it will teach you some general common sense when flying such as stall recovery, head wind counter, disconnected orientation, inertial feeling and radio link orientation flight. If you confused don’t worry, you can come join us fly and will teach you some cool tricks and guides.

Arhhh… That was a sad case stock radio for v262 only can fly between 200~500m. Is it possible to upgrade the stock radio? Coz i think that model is quite good for flying. Big enough. What in my mind now is, the bigger the size, the stronger their wind resistant. haha… Am i correct?

#13753

which one do you think i should buy? Super CP, either play till i got bored with it or play till something broken and have to wait like 1 mth for parts to arrive…
or V929 quad, play till i can fly it smoothly, then see if my budget enuf to upgrade into fpv or not…

(allokitty) #13754

Oh i met another v262 owner this evening, he says v262 stock radio range only can go up to 150m only. Another bad news is there’s no way you can upgrade the stock radio to better one because the radio is the brand’s very own design and radio protocol and the on board electronics is build for such radio. If i were you i’ll get V929. If i had enough money i’ll buy 20x boxes of V929. So far i only have 3x. This is the only models that have the best performance, weight, power, upgrades, radio upgrade and FPV modification before the WL company started to make a new crappy models after V939. If you saw V929 in the market don’t think too long just get it.

“The heaven show the way”: Ultimate P-51D Mustang cloudy FPV adventure.
This Sunday is a blessed Sunday. I can feel that God had answer my call for a beautiful day of flight into big wonderful heavenly skies. (Okay i’m not that religious but i desparately need some clouds in the sky…so i need HIS help). It was not an ordinary Sunday just as i expected but i can feel the miracle force come into me after morning holy event. The day was just right, had a good morning and had a good social activity with friends and family.
That afternoon as usual we went to the flying field, from far before reaching destination i can see there are no clouds at all neither few kilos away nearby our flying base. A bit disappointed so i called to HIM and say this as i almost nearly reached the flying field: “Dear GOD, please show me a miracles, show me heavenly skies because i want to be the witness of your beautiful creation, let me be on your heavenly cotton pillows”. Then I saw only one small dark smokey clouds. After checking my FPV equipment, GPS system and wireless link on ground station connectivity, i then took off on my P-51D Mustang and flew into one tiny thin sad looking cloud. I don’t expect something nice so i just passes by just for the sake of fun flying around. After minutes punching into our usual altitude suddenly when i look below me there bunch of clouds popping all around me. More than i bargain for. So i just cruise above them and Wow! what an amazing feeling unlike my previous cloudy flight. The warm aura of sunlight, the true blue skies and bunch of clouds welcome me into their domain. Amazingly even after hundred hours of flight on my P-51D Mustang in the past today the plane feels lighter and there no need to push more throttle power to cruise around the skies… as if the plane guided smoothly on its own. It does feel different compare with many of my flights. It feels like some force piloting my plane. Even my battery power level maintain almost constant low power drain compare to previous power consumption on the motor and flight system. The wind sounds different inside the cockpit and the ray of sunlights seems to coat around the surface of the plane. For those people in Miri…today is actually a Holy day. Which explain why it feels different today. Sometimes when i fly around i can feel my late mother was with me as if it was showing me some heavenly stuff up there. In reality she doesn’t like me flying but probably today she just gave me the chance. After the flight i feel at peace. And so i share you these beautiful moment:

As i fly around on my Drifter Ultralight #2 and saw this cool looking bush fire from distance. The long smoky trailing looks awesome like vortex of long cigar protruded to the inner island of borneo.

Ahhhh… Sad… So getting a v929 is the best recommended low budget quadcopter? Then slowly modified into a fpv fly machine?

You can try megastation rc too…the quad is rm 119 with free shipping. I deal alot with them.
