Purchasing & Logistics Assistant (Based in Miri Office) | Yinson Holdings Berhad

Core Responsibilities

  • To support in the efficient delivery of procurement & logistics services in line with the Company’s procedures and local regulations.

  • To procure and purchases all request, including suppliers & vendors selection, management, relationship & negotiations. Improving supply of products & services, cost effectiveness, monitoring ensuring that procurement SOP, internal & external processes are adhered and in place.

  • HSEQ matters related to own work
    Duties

  • Place and follow up all orders until delivery on board on the basis of approved requisitions.

  • Follow up all repair orders in co-operation with the Operations Manager / Base Manager

  • Collect, file and forward all applicable certificates and service reports related to the PO

  • Oversee and monitor the overall procurement processes from Material Requisition up to the delivery to the Company

  • Receive and record confirmation of receipt of goods from the offshore units.

  • Record all orders into the purchasing system and keep them fully updated

  • Prepare all Cargo Manifest or Loading Manifest for every material outgoing to FPSO via supply boat or fast boat

  • Liaise with designated company logistic agent(s) to ensure that all goods consigned for in country and offshore are cleared and delivered a timely manner.

  • Co-ordinate all import-export activities with the designated company logistic agent(s) to ensure seamless flow of function

  • Check invoices against orders

  • Liaise with vendors and the accounts department to rectify invoice challenges and take corrective actions to ensure the prompt payment of invoices

  • Assist with Supplier audits and development.

  • Advice Procurement Operations department of all matters that he/she has reason to believe should be brought to his/her attention.

  • Be fully updated on YP Management System and carry out all purchasing activities according to YP Management System.

  • To perform ad-hoc tasks as required by superior and management
    HSE Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of awareness;

  • Lead by doing; setting an example for others;

  • Observe and report any unsafe activities, conditions or situations;

  • If you observe anything unsafe use the ‘Stop Work’ Policy.
    Qualifications****and Job Requirement

  • Candidate must possess a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, eBusiness, Management, eCommercial, Administration, Logistic/Supply Chain or equivalent qualification.

  • Preferably candidate at lease with 2/3 years’ experience in the related field is required for this position

  • Preferably candidate with Logistic and Purchasing background & able cope with pressure, working long hours and strong commitment to any given tasks.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skill and able to work independent and meet time line.

  • Organization and Multitasking skill

  • Competent in MS Office applications. Additional knowledge in ERP system will be advantage.

  • Competent in ERP system and any relevant Purchasing & Procurement module is required.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills is required.

  • Must be proficient in both written and spoken (English)

  • Able to build a strong culture of teamwork and align departmental goals to the Company’ strategic objectives
