Public Bank 23 ~ 33% interest rate special - UT + FD

So I was intrigued by this quite good deal and did a bit of research myself.
That guy was 100% right about the Public Bank promotion.

I am a bit perplexed at this “trolling” by a few certain members here.
Is there a way they can make an apology to -Xxo88oxX-. I found it quite rude and discerning

Admin, your thoughts please?
LOL 23%? I don’t see on their website. If 23%, I am sure most people with money will be flooding the bank.
You do sound like a moron for someone who earned 6 figures last month. Sound like an attention seeker…

LOL. Now I know why the bank manager was pushy. They found a donkey who thought 0.23% was 23%…lol
No wonder…this explains everything
you invest how much? btw, another new account “keong1”

Fascinating observing this species…

I will go and make an appointment today and get the info for all of us…
Interested?

This promotion is for real!but it is not fixed deposit, its is a mutual fund programme…

Is that official Public Bank offer? What a crappy pamplet. And what the hell is UT? Unit Trust right? So it aint exactly FD.
Also seems very strange they offer higher interest for short term deposits instead of long term. Who would want to invest in long term then? Just rollover short terms deposits.
Very strange.

I have forward this advertisement to the Public Bank and Bank Negara. I’ve been informed that the bank will investigate this closely and legal action may be taken if it is found to be false advertising.

if u post it at 2.30pm… suppose u went there 3pm till 4pm
why nothing from you now ???
If is a good investment. why nothing at public bank website nor public mutual?

UT profit % is not guaranteed I guess. The percentage is most probably based on historical data and their own speculation.

Took at pelita public bank…at unit trust counter

So its unit trust. Not fixed deposit.

if this is real. who to contact and their fon no.

This is unit trust la. Not guaranteed!!

Like you said, if this is real, you expect Maybank or OCBC people sell you this or not? Go to the branch la, again, only if it’s real.

Unit trust + fix deposit?

well, i worked in ambank as a wealth specialist before, similar products also exist in ambank…which is genuinely true and they do sell those products where they bundle up ur FD+UT (1:1). the FD gets high interest rate and UT (ur initial investment gets deduct 3-5% for upfront fee too) gain profit if the UT prices goes up, so this actually teach us that if u are for sure know that the UT u r investing in are good and u have confident in it, why not…since u are goin to invest in it anyway, might as well gain from FD interest rate as well. FYI, normally the offered UT in this case are those high risk units >.< give and take, depend on your luck if u didnt do enough research. Look at the UT track record and at this time try to avoid government linked company profile in the UT…example, Maxis and CIMB?? ^.^

my first FD+UT bundle ive gained, 2nd time ive lost…overall gained something similar to FD only, so what say u?

not promoting anything here, just sharing my experience >.<

if UT say UT la, why hv to say FD… :?: :?: :?: this is something like …

Lulz. He’s been doing it for years, lets just play along. Kid needs attention.

It’s unit trust. Investing in UT you need to wait at least 2-3 years to gain after deducting the charges. You have fund managers managing the funds they collect unlike directly investing or trading into the stock market. It’s definitely better than F.D. but it depends on the market conditions. There are different kind of funds with different portfolio compositions suited for the various “risk profile or appetite” of investors.
