PPMR exco’s briefed on IMU system

MIRI: Twenty exco members of Persatuan Penduduk Mesra Rakyat Marudi, Bakong and Baram (PPMR) attended a seminar on International Monetary Unit (IMU) system held here last weekend.

The seminar was coordinated by the Indonesian ambassador of UN World Human Facility European (World Bank), Raden Mas Triyana Diponegoro. It was hosted by PPMR president Datuk Josephine Tuah with the aim to educate the association members on the IMU. Tuah who is also Corps Diplomatique International (CDI) Ambassador for Malaysia said IMU would probably be implemented early next year.

“Thus, it is important for the PPMR exco to know about the system so that they can disseminate the information to their members,” she added.

Individuals who wish to join the association can register themselves by paying RM12 registration fee. The association vice-president Abdul Rahman Jaraee can be contacted at 019-8754381 (marudi) or Suraya at 012-8768334 (Miri) for registration purpose.
