Possibility of a ‘wet polling day’ across S’wak — Meteorology Dept

KUCHING: Sarawakians coming out to vote today should bring along their umbrellas — just in case they get caught in the rain later on.

The state Meteorology Department indicated, through an advisory issued at 3pm yesterday, that all divisions might experience thunderstorms in least two places in the afternoon, with expected showers in several areas tonight.

“The weather forecast on election day is generally cloudy, with thunderstorms in one or two places.

“One could expect rain in not less than two places along the coastal area, stretching from Kuching to Miri, in the morning.

“There may also be rain in several areas across Kapit in the morning.

“Later, there is high possibility of rain in several places tonight,” the department said.
