Pikom urges participation in APTM awards
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) and the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry (PIKOM) are urging local companies to participate in the Premier Information Technology Awards 2006.
According to PIKOM chairman Lee Boon Kok, the awards – organised by MAMPU with the cooperation of PIKOM – is an excellent opportunity for Malaysian ICT organisations and user groups to showcase their successful implementations of ICT.
“Awards such as the APTM speaks volumes and is a strong testimony to customers as well as potential customers of an organisation,” Lee said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is expected to present the awards to the recipients at a ceremony in December.
APTM is in its eighth year. There are three categories for the awards – Public Sector, Private Sector and Socio-Economic Sector.
Winners would receive among others, a trophy, certificate and RM10,000 cash.
