MIRI: DAP Piasau candidate Alan Ling has been called up to Miri central police station today (May 6) to give his statement pertaining to allegedly conducting an April 23 political talk without police permit.

Ling arrived at Miri central police station (CPS) at 2.09pm and proceeded to meet a police officer for statement taking.

He came out one hour later.

Miri Police Chief ACP Junaidi Bujang when met earlier, disclosed that the statement-taking was a normal process.

‘As far that I am concerned, the so-called ‘ceramah’ was held in a coffeeshop which is an open place; they had not applied for a police permit for that purpose,’ said Junaidi.

Amongst those present during the talk were Pujut candidate Dr Ting Tiong Choon and Senadin candidate, Dr Bob Baru Langub- both from DAP.

DAP prominent leader Lim Kit Siang was also attended the talk.
