Only six HFM cases reported yesterday

KUCHING: The number of new cases of hand, foot and mouth (HFM) disease in Sarawak has dropped to a single digit as the situation continues to improve.

There were only six new cases reported yesterday, with three cases in Sibu Division, two in Miri and one in Bintulu.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam said three children were admitted to hospital.

He added that the total number of HFM cases reported since the outbreak in late January was 14,301 statewide.
