No arrest yet on Bill Kayong’s murder, Sarawak police

KOTA SAMARAHAN: The police have yet to make any arrest in connection with the murder of Bekenu Parti Keadilan Rakyat secretary Bill

Kayong last June 21.

Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor said a special team had been set up and it was still investigating the case.

“We are working round the clock to investigate and solve the case,” he told reporters after launching Op Selamat 9/2016, held in conjunction with the coming Aidilfitri celebration, at the Summer Shopping Mall here today.

Kayong, 43, who was the PKR candidate for the Bekenu seat in the last state election, was shot dead in his four-wheel-drive-vehicle at the Kuala Baram traffic light intersection in Miri at about 9.20 am last June 21.-BERNAMA
