Went to Mr Ho’s Fine Food for dinner last evening, ordered lots of appertizer prior to the main meal, which taste good. But when the Pork Steak presented (we have waited for around 25 mins anyway), WOW, it’s big in portion. When biting into it, oh… very salty, like eating salt. So even though the ordered Milk Tea was initially tasted wierd, after the pork it tasted nice because I could wash the salty taste in my mouth. Other than the pork ‘incident’, the vege pasta tasted salty too. But the rest of the food is ok.
In addition, the Pam’s Potato Chips (from New Zealand) sell for RM11.00 per pack, which in my opinion is way too expensive. Bintulu supermarket only sell for RM6.00 (roughly that price) per pack. Furthermore NZ$ exchange rate is lower than US$.
Anyone ever try the food there? Overall the food and environment is alright, maybe we just ordered the wrong food last evening.
I wish I had the cash to try
haha, loads of people say the western tastes weird… i dono whether true anot. cause i dun have the money to eat such delicacies.
ate there yesterday… food too salty… pasta, and pork all too salty.
the pork knuckle too dry, worse than eating cardboard, like eating tree bark… too dry
i must say the food not too great
It’s kind of hilarious to know that people in here actually ate tree bark before… hehe…
the pork steak is sooo salty bcause of the marination or the cream sauce madeleine1020 or the chef is not well train to do it…

kesian me? no need. i just won’t eat there any more. i’m sure they don’t need my business.
Not hilarious leh… most herbs are made from tree bark or something. In fact, foochow also have a type of root, big one, quite strong smell. We all love it!
Ok, back to the topic. I went there quite sometime ago. I mostly agreed with what was said above. I believe the food was mostly pre-cooked. They just microwave it and put on sauce and then serve. That is why the meat was mostly dry and chewy and worse, cold.
The only thing that was good is the salad.
I don’t think I will go back there again.
…and the Haagen Dazs Ice Cream…
YUMMY!!!
i better go jing wood cafe to eat RM10 chop…taste good and at reasonable price!
yes its true!! some of the food was REALLLLY pre-cooked,but not all la…but the salad is good especially d Walnut salad n d hagen dazz ice cream
wah…look like miri still got a lot of rich ppl…even before the petrol price hike, no money to go…
love to see more comment…maybe i start saving now, i can bring my girl there next year…hehehe

maybe big saiz for them and small saiz in your eye?
YA. I noticed also there are some changes in their quality. The pork meat ball has SHRINKED it’s size to a very tiny and dry meatball. Usually when I go there to eat, I will just order the Caesar Salad and that’s it. reason for going back there also just for the salad.
This is the typical Miri eatery/restaurant syndrome. After opening for 3 months, foods become saltiers, portions become smaller, meats become dryer. So whats new?
This is out of topic… bear with me.
Been to Escapade Sushi in KB last Saturday. They’ve extended the restaurant to the shoplot next door and opening hours has been extended too from Fri till Sun. Unfortunately, the sushi SHRINKED it’s size too.
