OooOOooo… nice pictures, Gu. Always pass-by that place but never found the chance to stop and take a look. Is “Miri YourPark” really the name of that place?

yeah its is, nice place to “pak tor” dating and bbq with ur gang or family

Wow~~!!! Its a nice place to hangout then…

ehmm…your handphone quality not bad man…is it a Nokia phone? hehe :o just impressed with both the photos & your mobile’s photo quality.

Your skills in photo taking is very good man. Talented!

lol thanks ryabren

yea nokia 3230 just dun like the quality bcoz some photo look like abit dark :frowning:

I thought the park’s name is ‘Taman Awam Miri’ and we had always referred to it as such. Anyway, ‘YourPark’ certainly sounded slightly better than ‘Miri Public Park’.

I have a feeling we lack creative people (or their potentials are suppressed) in Miri when it comes to naming projects like these.

Yea, same here.

Wow, Gu! that’s one heck of a camera phone you got there!

Here are a few more I took at night during a BBQ…with my trusty Canon Powershot A80…

Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos. It’s one place that I’ll take my kids to go to when we’re in Miri in May. Can’t wait to go back. Been two years since I last gone home, missing the kuey tiew at the open air market, the second stall. Yummy. Any nice kopitiam that anyone can recommend? Cheers!

Open air market is about as good as it gets for good coffee. There’s also an obscure coffeeshop directly below Park Hotel that offers great coffee and ‘you char kueh’. For more, see the ‘Foods in Miri’ thread.

Hi, I’ll be host for 4 klang girls who will be visiting Bintulu & Miri. So I need your help to recommend more places of interest. Any beach area where really can swim one? any idea? Berkenu beach I heard? Thanks.
