Miri Port Authority featured in productivity case book
MIRI: The Miri Port Authority (MPA) was recently featured in the Malaysia Productivity Corporations (MPC) case book entitled Transforma-tion, Innovation and Partnership for its organisational excellence in terms of leadership, quality initiatives and innovativeness.
The case book featured best-managed organisations in various sectors spanning from manufacturing to agriculture, healthcare and other service industries.
It was testimony of MPCs unrelenting commitment towards assisting industries in providing value-added products and services to enhance market competitiveness.
Apart from that, a case study entitled Against All Odds was also published by MPC Sarawak.
Director Abdul Latif Abu Seman and Shahriza Bahari prepared the case study which featured key teaching points on leadership, working culture and employees loyalty to the organisation as the underpinning factors for organisational excellence.
The casebook, which featured experiences of various organisations, serves as useful benchmark for best practices to adopt and adapt to. MPA was also the winner of the 2008 Sarawak Chief Ministers Quality Award (AKKMS).
