MIRI: The Miri Division Council of Community Leaders can now plan more activities slated for the benefit of their people, thanks to the RM20,000 Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund from Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau.
The council, represented by its Kenyah paramount chief Temenggong Joseph Ngau Lain, accepted the allocation from Dennis during a simple ceremony at Dynasty Hotel here yesterday.
In his remarks, the assemblyman said he would want the council to hold more programmes aimed at bringing together all members of the Orang Ulu community.
“Use the grant to hold more activities for the betterment and development of our community as a whole,” he told the local community Orang Ulu leaders who witnessed the presentation, including Temenggong Elizabeth Deng.
