Miri got El cheapo tablet?

I’m looking for extremely cheap android tablet and found some at local Miri shop which are obviously in colored casing. I’m looking for tablet that can support atleast android version 4. Have anyone use it? and how much cheaper can it get. I’m going it to use to access google map/earth and programming only. Can anyone advice the pros and cons of these tablet? Not interesting in playing games or browsing internet.

Using it for:
-google map/earth viewing
-programming and hardware links
-USB connectivity.

Any help appreciated.

These tablets are usually not very durable.

Why don’t you try Asus and Acer Tablet, and if you need Google Map and Earth. It’s best you get one with sim card slot, that will give you GPS ability.

And those will cost you around RM800 each.

Get Asus fonePad or Nexus 7.

Never heard of that brand, must be one of the many Chinese made brand. You are better off getting a branded type like Samsung Acer or Asus.

Uh, i cannot use expensive tablet. I only need to use this tablet for monitoring remote devices. No internet, games, office and etc. Its only for geographical self engineering work where i leave the device outdoor under the sun just monitor stuff (telemetry monitoring).

What size do you prefer??? 7" or 10" with how many budget???

Size doesn’t matter, as long got USB and support Android 4.0 and slightly above. Make sure USB port is alive. I’ll cash in today if i found that fits the spec. Second hand also accepted. Budget is China made spec.

We all know most Tablet are made from China, even the famous Ipad also consider “Made In China”. What i mean by budget is what is the price that you willing to offer for new or used tablet. And your usb port is normal USB v2.0 for pendrive one or mini/micro USB port for charge battery or transfer files from computer??? Thank you.

One year ago we bought a unit for RM300 from one those china girls selling dvds and assorted junk, those always around coffee shops (eg. 2020, boulevard). The cheap tablet worked well for a while and it was a android 3 or lower, but then it runs into battery and speaker problems after a few months (cannot charge, cannot turn on). So definitely you get what you pay for, and don’t expect much from these low quality items.

Not sure how well those things can hold up in the outdoors under heat and rain. Another option is maybe get the cheapest samsung android 4 phones at around that price range. Size doesn’t matter as you said, but reliability would be better. If you have the software, you can even set it up to upload the telemetry using a data plan sim, etc.

Budget is at RM300

Lenovo tablet sound cheap, china made one i don’t trust.
