The Owner of the Child Play Area inside Merdeka Mall (Opposite of Chicago 7) is very rude to the customer.
I pay RM6.00 for both my daughter and son this evening to play and after 1 minute, one customer just inform the woman in charge of collecting the entrance fees if posibble to add extra cushion/matress near the play area, but suddenly the “orang putih” come and start showing a paper or rules and regulation which everyone can read and understand…Worst, he suddenly approach my wife who is talking to her friend and start showing the paper too…
Coz’ of this the male customer gather his kids and wife and walk away…and I asked my wife to gather our kids too as we have other place to go…
Then my wife told me that the “orang putih” is so rude and start shouting to her and even some small kids who area playing in the area…
To the management of Merdeka Mall, please look into this matters and take necessary action. I really feel so mad and start sending through email, facebook, and sms to all my friends in Miri to avoid this places.
we are talking about a real org putih or some celup bleach blond hair one?

As far as I know, orang putih are sometime too straightfoward with their feeling and often interpret as rude in Malaysia. Have to check it out first.

The first paragraph written the liability if anything happens to the kid is not covered by them…we know this before we send our kids for sure…the guy is just telling the woman(maybe the Mat Saleh wife) nicely such like an opinion, but the Mat Saleh rudely come and start talk loudly to him and all the sudden come to my wife and show the paper in front of her face…Even my wife quite shock …When we back up and go, he started to shout even to some kids who still there to go…This is not our way of approaching customer…I’ve work with all kinds of people from all over the world but this Mat Saleh is very Kurang Ajar…If you go to Merdeka Mall sure you found this place…

Should complaint this to the consumer tribunals… how can they set-up the children play-area which is not safe, as the owner he should ensure the safety of the kids and furthermore, people have to pay for this so-called “risky” place.

someone should check whether prominently located signage are put up in place that can be clearly seen by the public before making payment to use the services. any rules and regulations must be printed on tickets itself. any business person or premises by law cannot by simply pointing to any rules regulation or clauses exclude or limit his liability where he owes his customers a common law ‘duty of cares’.
‘duty of cares’ means reasonable foreseeability on his part that his customers may be subjected to some form of harm or injury arising from being on his premise and using his services and his having taken all necessary reasonable precautions to minimize the occurrences of such risks.
such laws are enforced in developed countries that emphasizes rule of laws. malaysia lain cerita. ( i know some law too. hee hee. enough of legalese.)
anyway no laws prevent him from being rude. being rude only shows poor business acumen and potential business fallout. as customers is king this businessman better learn some manner if he wants to remain profitable. as mirian are well known for herd instinct mentality it wouldnt take long for news to spread and certain businesses kena hentam boycott.
i think nowadays they will say at our own risk la… just if the accident happen due to their unsafe equipment, then tht will be their responsible.
and the ppl… should not shout at de kids la~ should have caring heart mo~
That Children Play Area is not that safe anyway. Sent my kids there 1 day, while playing & running around this area suddenly 1 of the fluorescent lamp exploded & shutter all around the corner. Luckily no kids or adults around that area. The collection lady took the broom & walk timingly. Gosh! No urgency at all, what if the kids running straight to that area…can u imagine!! Few parents including myself start pulling out our kids from there. This so call children play area is very dangerous with poor safety handling no wonder the paper T&C stated “at ur own risks”…this should not be happening due to their own poor handling.
Yea, I agreed that Merdeka Mall management team should look into this matter seriously. This is to prevent before it happens.

well seriously all he can do is maybe beef up the safety but still its play at ur own risk. There is no way around this situation lol, nobody can take charge or ur childs’s safety but you .

Kinda true they have to make the place safe but if an accident happen they sure don’t want to be blame and you know how are the white people with they rights.If you are worried about you children safety take care of them your self.If you trust them to take care of your children you are also responsible for your children because they can’t think for they self and for an example if you ask a drug addict to take care of you child and your child was injured the police will still blame you for not being more responsible in choosing your child guardian.So if you think the child care is not safe don’t put them there.

i also have experience with the so called orang putih,
i went there and paid rm6 but i got no kids to show them then he asked me where is your kids? I told the orang putih since when i said i’m bringing kids and then told him the entrance fee was for myself. Then i went to the slide and jump and slide down and the recoil from the air slide makes my head hit the florecent lamp and it fell down and fall into pieces on the floor. The orang putih went inside and bring out 1 paper and his wife and told me the rules and regulation and told me to GTFO, then he told the other guys to GTFO as well.
all the time we felt how rude he was, not because of shooing us away after we paid rm6, but he was showing us his wife all the time.
i got no wife.
