Man slashed for not giving back the change quick enough

MIRI: Miri Police arrested a 29-year-old man yesterday for causing hurt to another man in Tudan on Monday.

The suspect, a local, was picked up at about 12 noon. His victim, a man in his 30s, nearly lost three of his fingers after he allegedly slashed him at about 5pm on Monday.

According to sources, the suspect had earlier borrowed RM30 from the victim.

The suspect repaid his debt a few days later, handing the victim RM50 but was told he would return the balance of RM20 to him when he had the change. It was learnt that the suspect who was drunk asked his friends to call the victim to meet him at his house to collect the change.

The victim went to see the suspect but was shocked to see the suspect armed with a samurai sword.

Three of the victims fingers were almost severed when he tried to avoid being slashed by the suspect.
