MIRI: Police yesterday morning apprehended a 30 year-old man after he attempted to harm his own parents with a knife.
The incident occurred in a house at Desa Pujut here around 8am, when the suspects parents refused his demand for cash.
A mobile police vehicle (MPV) dashed to the scene after receiving a distress call on the incident.
The suspect, upon seeing the arrival of the MPV, immediately surrendered himself.
During the arrest, police seized the knife and scissors believed to have been used by the suspect during the early morning commotion.
The suspect was brought to Miri Central Police Station (CPS) to facilitate police investigation.
