Loyal customer wins pick-up truck in competition

KOTA KINABALU: Housewife Lee Boh Ching hit the jackpot when she won the Grand Prize of an Isuzu D-Max Prestige in Maggi’s Jom Masak & Menang Besar competition.

The 61-year-old beat two contenders at a competition held at Megalong Mall in Donggongon, Penampang, where participants had to showcase their knowledge on Maggi products.

The first and second runner-up prizes went to Mohd Faddly Perdulhan and Rahmah Abdul Rahman, who won RM5,000 and RM3,000 worth of electrical goods, respectively.

This year’s finale was graced by State Assistant Minister of Education and Innovation Jenifer Lasimbang.

The annual contest was organised in conjunction with the Gawai Dayak Festival as part of the brand’s continuous efforts to engage and reward individuals and families for their strong support over the years.

Maggi business executive officer Geetha K. Balakrishna said the purpose of the contest was to reward the brand’s loyal customers while embracing the communal spirit of Pesta Kaamatan (Harvest Festival) in Sabah.

She added that this year’s edition marked another milestone for Maggi as they recorded a 20% increase in participation from both Sarawak and Sabah with a total of 260,145 entries.

Maggi received 117,184 entries from Sarawak and 127,199 entries from Sabah.

During the contest period, a total of eight roadshows were held in Kuching, Sibu and Miri on a weekly basis, where visitors were able to participate in fun games prepared for families.

Maggi reached out to over 6,000 Sabahans throughout its two-month roadshow.
