MIRI: A dockyard worker was found dead inside his quarters in Kuala Baram yesterday.
It is reported that Slamet Riyadi, a 25-year-old Indonesian, was last seen alive on Friday morning.
The body was discovered around 8am yesterday.
According to police spokesperson, one of dockyard workers went to Slamets quarters as their supervisor wanted to see him regarding some documentation.
When the co-worker arrived, he saw that the door was locked. He then resorted to reaching the lock via window. It was then that he saw Slamet lying motionless inside the room.
He rushed to his supervisor, who in turn called the police, the spokesperson said.
Miri deputy police chief Supt Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, when contacted, said the case had been classified as sudden death.
The body had been sent to Miri Hospital mortuary, he said, adding that investigation had ruled out any foul play.
