Indian National Skipper Feared Drowned In Marudi

MIRI, April 6 (Bernama) — An Indian national skipper was feared drowned after falling from a tugboat in Sungai Baram, Long Lama at 4pm today.

Marudi Fire and Rescue Station chief Zulbada Alior said during the incident a man known as Shubham Patidar, 22, from Uthar Medhyapradesh, India, was pulling the ropes of the boat when he suddenly slipped and fell into the river.

“Immediately after the incident, the employer was trying to find the man but failed,” he told Bernama today…..
