MIRI: A total of 64 house owners at Kampung Luak 3 Road finally received their land titles from the Land and Survey Department yesterday.
According to state Democratic Action Party (DAP) secretary Alan Ling, homeowners moved into the area in 2009, and all
the houses were completed in 2010 but until 2015, there was still no feedback from the developer on the land titles.
“I and my other neighbours had contacted one of the company directors for the issuance of the land titles, but there was always a reason saying they were still in the process, “ Ling told The Borneo Post yesterday.
“I pursued the matter with the developer but it was still in vain and was given so many excuses and reasons, and finally I decided to go to the Land and Survey here to check.”
He called on the public to check the background of developers, including the directors, before purchasing houses. Ling also urged the state government to step in and resolve such cases.
