Hilux Commonrail or Mitsu Triton

Which one is better for both passenger and luggage?

RM90k and below MPV or SUV with 7-8 seater… anyone to recommend?

I am seriously wanting to get either one of the above in March.

Pls give me ideas.

as an avid car modder/car freaks, with my current knowledge and experience about cars, not to mention budget;

for mpv, i will take Citra, for double cabin; i will take triton over any other double cabin manufacturer, anytime.

this one…

dnt think triton or hilux is a 7-8 seater… unless u put ppl at d back… i wud go 4 triton… bigger space inside, handling very car like…

Innova better like that. Citra is fuel gustler ! The spare will shock you. For resell and reliability Hilux is much better. I am not sure about the ride and handling but I think is about the same. For power then Nissan frontier. I suggest you can try the new Toyota for a consideration.

the new mazda 4x4 is gud looking…triton is cool as well, but toyota vigo has value for money…

well, for my opinion… innova is nice but sayang is petrol!! at brunei is very famous cause diesel 2.5 turbo as using malaysia’s hilux’s engine!!!

= deleted with apology =

regarding fuel consumption, it all boils down to how light your foot on the accelerator. I will personally take Citra, b’cos of it’s look and price which cost around rm78000 - 82000, now i think if you purchase it from Kuching, can get as low as rm68000++ like that, because they want to clear the 2007 punya stock.

for 4x4, why i say i prefer triton over those hilux, frontier or ranger is b’cos the stability the double cabin offers. powerful engine, nice interior and the best of all is it’s look! and having driven all this double cabins, i would say the ride is nowhere near to triton considering it’s very car like in terms of driving feel / experience.

hilux is nice, but i wouldn’t want to have uneasy night worrying about theft. u can try ask around what is the most popular double cabin that have high potential of theft. (happens a LOT in Bintulu)

for ford ranger, i don’t like the rear passenger door punya dimension since it’s smaller than hilux and triton. quite hard for me to enter.

no comment for frontier though, i would say maybe the availability of the spare part can be quite an headache - unless you plan to invest more and get an X-trail, then it is a GO.

my advise is don’t get a D-max! i have 3 colleagues who drives a d-max for 1year++, now seriously considering to sell it b’cos the engine start to produce loud noise and vibration…although the spec sheets is just way to good than other double cabins out there…(once i thought d-max is the most ideal double cabins out there, but after listening to my colleagues punya complaint, i start to doubt it and moreover after reading this article…)

one of my colleague also just bought a nissan livina last month, i have to say the looks is quite nice, but it looks more like a lowered avanza. and with pricing like that for a 1.6 / 1.8 mpv, i’d still go for Citra.

*remember this is only my personal opinion, nothing much. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

triton sports

TRD Hilux

Mitsubishi Triton looks OK… for a 4WD (seriously looking at it).

Toyota Innova is out (definitely)…
Toyota Rush looks great in the showroom… but I happened to see one Blue on the road… (eerr my wife changed her mind!)

She is considering Naza GS 2.5L (petrol)… any comment?

Why dont u consider this Nissan ??

New Nissan MPV launched

KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd on Wednesday launched the Nissan Grand Livina, a new mid-size multipurpose vehicle (MPV), priced from RM82,800 to RM95,300 with a choice of six colours.

The Grand Livina comes in three variants with a choice of two engine specifications, a 1.6L engine with either manual or automatic transmission variants and 1.8L engine, which comes in the automatic transmission variant.

Edaran Tan Chong executive director Datuk Dr Ang Bon Beng said the company’s initial target was 15% of the MPV market or sales of 600 units per month out of total industry sales of 4,000 units per month.

“We’ve 1,800 bookings even before the launch, so based on initial response we should be able to capture more than 15%,” he said.

i presume Naza Ria isn’t it?

well ok, very2 spacious and kinda powerful; but be prepared for the fuel consumption - it’s not really frugal although you are light-footed on your accelerator.

and owh, with 2.5cc V6 petrol engine…be prepared for the roadtax punya price also. 8) 8)

toyota rush? don’t be fooled by the looks. the specs of the car pretty much the same with avanza - although i admit rush do looks nice - but with price like that, Citra will still give bang for the buck for your money.

still my personal opinion though

naza citra kuat makan minyak according to online forum
hilux is popular among car thieves.
mitsu triton is good
livina looks suitable for urban drive
rush is compact suv though it is 7 seaters.

it all depend how u will use it
bawa family n occasionally long distance drive?
if u alwez angkut brg, any double cab would be good…depending on availability of d spare parts la

tgu promotion dolok wai, ada diskaun n offers
