MIRI: Hillslope erosion has been detected in the hills adjacent to Sungai Plan in the Bintulu district in northern Sarawak.
In its latest updates, the State Fire and Rescue Department said personnel from the Bintulu station visited the site Friday (April 26) morning.
"The erosion is affecting squatters living on top of the hills.
“Our personnel have gone to the site to check on the latest situation,” the Fire and Rescue Department said.
At least four houses are in danger of toppling and falling off the eroded cliffs.
The area was hit by heavy rain Thursday (April 25) night.
