Rihanna was left with facial injuries following an argument on Sunday (08.02.09) in which her boyfriend, Chris Brown, reportedly punched her in the face, causing swelling to her forehead and a split lip, as well as biting her on the arm.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene of the accident- which Chris fled from- but police took pictures which have been described as ‘devastating proof of abuse’.

A source said: ‘She looked like a martial arts fighter. Her injuries were bad.’

It is now believed it was not Rihanna who called police, but a passer-by who heard shouting coming from 19-year-old Chris’ car.

The altercation happened after the pair were seen arguing at a pre-Grammy awards party in California on Saturday (07.02.09).

A source said: 'Inside the party they were very lovey-dovey, but later on they were arguing.

‘Rihanna is now doing a lot of soul searching over whether their relationship can last. Only time will tell.’

The couple were also seen having a ‘scary’ fight on Friday (07.02.09).

A witness said: 'I saw Chris Brown and Rihanna fighting at the Verizon party at Boulevard 3 nightclub on Friday night.

‘They were in this room and they were just screaming at each other, totally cussing each other out. They were screaming ‘Fk you!’ 'No, fk you!’ at each other, back and forth. They were right in each other’s face. It was scary.’

Chris has hired Mark Geragos, who defended convicted murderer Scott Peterson and later Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial.

He is due to appear in court on March 5 to answer charges of making criminal threats and police said he remained under investigation for charges of domestic violence after being released on $50,000 bail on Sunday.

As a result of his alleged actions, the ‘Run It’ singer has seen his adverts for Wrigley’s chewing gum suspended. He has also pulled out of his commitments with the NBA All-Stars basketball team.

Organizers have confirmed that Rihanna’s concert in Kuala Lumpur this week will be rescheduled.

According to Razman Razali, Managing Director of Pineapple Concerts Sdn Bhd, a new date for the event will be confirmed two weeks from now.

Pineapple insists that the concert has not been cancelled merely postponed, advising ticket buyers to hold on to their February 13th tickets and wait for a future announcement regarding the replacement date.

“We sincerely regret this unavoidable shift in schedule and apologise to the fans for any inconvenience caused.”

Rihanna has also cancelled her Jakarta tour date, originally set for February 12th.

Kanye is one of those artists who seriously thinks he’s better than everyone else.
You ever heard about the fit he threw at the MTV Europe Music Awards when he lost? Went up on stage to protest losing and insult the band he lost to.
You can probably find it on Youtube if you search.

Prosecutors have asked police to provide more information before deciding whether to press charges against Brown. Police have said the 19-year-old singer could face domestic violence charges if prosecutors think they are appropriate.

The woman in the photo posted by TMZ has a tattoo of Roman numerals on her left shoulder; Rihanna was photographed by The Associated Press the night of the incident with a tattoo of the same numerals on the same shoulder.

TMZ had previously used its site to debunk a manipulated image that depicted Rihanna with a black eye.

No public statement has been issued on behalf of Rihanna, who turns 21 today. Email and telephone messages left late yesterday with representatives for both Brown and Rihanna were not immediately returned.

Brown released a statement on Sunday, which read in part, Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. The statement, which did not mention Rihanna, said that Brown was consulting with loved ones, his mother and pastor.

Browns arrest came roughly 18 hours after he and Rihanna left a pre-Grammy party honouring music mogul Clive Davis. According to police, Brown and a woman were involved in an altercation in a car travelling through the upscale Hancock Park neighbourhood shortly after midnight.
