SIBU: Firefighters from the Sungai Merah Fire and Rescue station continued with their rounds of curbing the spread of Covid-19 by carrying out sanitisation works on University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) yesterday.
The exercise also involved disingection of two buses that transported 30 university students to their hometowns in Bintulu and Miri.
In addition, the students’ belongings were also sanitised.
Nine firefighters, led by station head Suna Kaha, were involved in the one-hour disinfection session, which kicked off at 8.30am.
Meanwhile, a team of personnel from Tanjong Manis Fire and Rescue station undertook a similar exercise at Tanjong Manis airport.
Four firefighters, led by station head Khairul Basri Sulaiman, were involved in the hour-long exercise, which commenced at 9am.
