• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly reporting, monthly financial information.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
  • Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborates with other department managers to support company overall goal and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level accuracy.
  • Advises staff regarding ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advice on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
  • To liase with external auditor, tax agent, government and satutory bodies, banker atc.
  • To be involved in all costing related matter in order to get an overall overview of the company’s operation.
  • To do ad hoc task as and when required by the management.


  • Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree/ Professional Certificate/Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least 10-15 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably a Senior Finance personnel in PLC or large subsidiary within PLC.
  • M & A and financial due diligence experience.
  • Extensive experience in valuing potential business, structuring deals, negotiating terms and fund-raising.
  • Practical experience in turning around ailing companies.
  • Ability to lead and undertake operational finance tasks if required.
  • Work experience within industries such as infrastructure or construction & engineering, manufacturing or building materials is preferred.
