Education Fair draws a big crowd

KUCHING:The Market Management Services (MMS) Education Fair held at Pullman Hotel here yesterday drew a big crowd.
Forty booths were set up at the venue, comprising 40 different institutions from Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK) for students and their parents to enquire on the different courses offered.
Among the participating institutions are Curtin College/University, University of Portsmouth, James Cook University (JCU), University of Western Australia (UWA) and OnCampus USA.
In an interview with the Organising Chairwoman who is also Manager of MMS, May Tan Mee Tziau said the fair was held thrice a year in March, August and October.
“This time we’re holding the fair in major towns of East Malaysia starting with Tawau, Sandakan, Labuan, Bintulu, Sibu and Miri before heading to Kota Kinabalu and lastly Kuching.
“We are also offering services such as registration and preparation services for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and also visa applications,” she said.
May added that since it is almost at the end of public examination season, more students will flock around at educational fair to look for opportunities and even scholarships.
