KUALA LUMPUR: The ban on the sale of petrol to foreign cars is now likely to be enforced on Monday.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir said he had been going around the country getting feedback on the decision, which was taken by the anti-inflation committee.
Shahrir had said on Monday that the ban, which would involve between 200 and 300 petrol stations in Kedah, Kelantan, Perlis, Perak as well as the Johor Baru and Kulai areas in Johor, would be enforced on Friday or the latest by Monday.
He is expected to call for a press conference on the matter on Monday.
