One of the best Singles final I have watched in recent times. Lee C.W got the answers for all Super Lin Dan shots this time. Well done Lee C.W.
Everytime Lee played Lin Dan, we hoped will it be this time ?,sadly he was outclassed by Lin Dan each time.
Finally his efforts and hard work bear fruits yesterday. It was well fought final, no issues of injuries or poor form from both players. To win the match after 80 mts of that level of the game, we are happy for you Lee.C.W.
Our next hope, he will continue the same form in the next major tournaments
It takes a helluva consistency to own the world number one ranking for many many years, since what? 2006? Have any of our badminton player held the NR 1 ranking for so long, raking up so many superseries? This is a proof of good he is.
Right now, there is only two players in the league of their own. One is our very own LCW and another one is of course Lin Dan.
And when two players playing at their peak, Lin Dan might edge the head-to-head, but lighten up a bit, he is still the one player having the best record against the sometimes invincible Lin Dan.
Now he’s going back into recuperating mode since his back has not healed 100% from that world championship in Paris against Taufik. Fingers crossed he’ll meet LD again in the asian games
LCW came back well in the second game but too many unforced errors in the third game let to give away the gold medal to super Lin Dan. Looks LCW may have had injury on his finger .
Men doubles final was another usual final for the top Malaysian pair. SO near yet so far. They gifted away the gold medal to Indonesians.
