Cops nab three suspected serial housebreakers

MIRI: Police arrested three men, who are suspected to be involved in a series of house break-ins here over the past few months, in front of a house in Pujut 3 early yesterday.

The trio – aged 33, 36 and 44 – were rounded up around 12am after they were spotted behaving suspiciously by police on patrol.

A check on them and a multipurpose vehicle they were using found various items such as a wire cutter, saw and crowbar, believed to be used in the break-ins.

Police seized the items and the car, which had fake licence plates.

It is understood that two of the suspects were previously involved in house break-ins and robberies in Sibu.
