Received call from 0320319999 (Chinese policewoman) and claimed that I have a company at Ampang that is owing RM90k to Bank Negara. Later asked me to contact 0169034536, Andrew Phang (lawyer) for more details. Andrew said that maybe someone used my name to established the company and he’ll try to solve this for me. After that, a call from 0163274031 (Chinese policeman) demanded me to hand over my passport and other personal document this Friday to Bukit Aman police station. He also said he’ll freeze all my bank accounts for the meanwhile.
*Thought it was real at first cos he can give me my full name, exact I.C no. and other confidential details.
Please mess with them for awhile the next time you saw these numbers call you :mrgreen:

There’s a syndicate doing this scam, they’re faking the caller ID, CCID is still trying to trace them.
Happened to a Mirian before as well, she’s as lucky as you as well. I suggest you lodge a police report regarding this matter as this lady did.
PENYAMARAN SEBAGAI POLIS MELALUI TELEFON
MIRI, 3 April 2012- Sindiket penipuan yang menyamar sebagai polis Bukit Aman dan polis Hong Kong kembali semula dan orang awam adalah diingatkan supaya berhati-hati.
Seorang perempuan bernama Madam Liew menerima beberapa panggilan telefon hari ini dari suspek yang menyamar sebagai polis Bukit Aman dan polis Hong Kong. Suspek meminta mangsa memberikan butiran akaunnya tetapi mangsa mendapatkan pengesahan daripada keluarganya terlebih dahulu sebelum memberi maklumat yang dikehendaki oleh suspek dan terselamat daripada penipuan tersebut.
Suspek mendakwa polis Hong Kong telah menangkap 2 orang warganegara Malaysia yang disyaki terlibat dalam satu kes penipuan di mana akaun mangsa telah digunakan untuk pemindahan wang sebanyak RM500,000. Suspek meminta mangsa memberikan butiran akaun kepadanya bagi membolehkannya membuat pengesahan berhubung perkara ini. Suspek juga mengugut mangsa sekiranya tidak memberi kerjasama pihak polis Bukit Aman akan membekukan semua aset mangsa di dalam bank. Mangsa yang berumur 50-an risau dan telah bertanyakan hal ini kepada keluarganya dan ini telah menyelamatkan mangsa daripada terpedaya dengan sindiket penipuan tersebut serta tidak mengendahkan lagi panggilan seterusnya oleh suspek.

Hi for our safety. I read the trailling quotes & alerts about these alerts business distubing or rather cheating the innocent publics. For me i’ve been the targets one after another (maybe up to more than 100 times today) with different kinds of dirty tactics. (by sms,emails,etc) Each time any unknown or suspected people call you, ask for his Mykad no, regardless who she/he claimed to be a commissioner of police,a tycoon,influential people local or oversea. Just ask that simple question
I received call from the same number this morning. Apparently they are still doing this. I googled the phone number saw these news article, the details of the call to me is almost exactly the same… including the ‘suspect names’ -_-’’’
I had four different numbers called me four times a week.
pick it up and always no one on the other end speaking…
not sure is connected to this scam or not but better safe than sorry…
