Break-in attempt foiled by alert neighbours

MIRI: Alert neighbours foiled two men’s attempt to break into a house in a residential area near Senadin Phase 7 here on Tuesday (Jan 16) evening.

According to a statement from Community Policing Miri, they received a report on the crime at about 8.15pm.

“Upon arrival, Community Policing Miri with local residents arrested two suspects believed to have broken into a house in the area to steal construction materials.

“An inspection uncovered broken home appliances, folding knives, and injection needles used by the two suspects,” the statement said.

The statement added that both suspects were handed over to the police patrol (MPV) members to be taken to Miri Central

Police Station for further investigation.

Community Policing Miri thanked Senadin Phase 7 residents for their cooperation in apprehending the suspects.
